Mambo is a Latin dance found in the American Rhythm syllabus. Coming from an Afro-Cuban musical heritage, you’ll find strong rhythmic footwork leading to rib and hip movement. Mambo differs slightly from Salsa - Mambo “breaks” on the second count of a music measure, which gives students an opportunity to identify the rhythm and improve their musicality. This is a fun and popular social dance. Allegro teaches “Salsa on 2” on Thursday nights and on the 3rd Saturday.
