West Coast Swing is a partner dance with roots in the Lindy Hop. It is characterized by an elastic look that results from its extension-compression technique of partner connection. The dance allows for both partners to improvise steps in a playful manner while dancing together "in a slot" on the dance floor. The West Coast Swing is more laid back and smooth than the East Coast Swing. WCS is a great dance to hone partnering skills. Allegro has several WCS lessons and parties.
